Complete rebuild of a Honduran on-demand delivery and ride-hailing iOS app in Swift 5, achieving a 90% reduction in bugs and a 40% improvement in performance.

Ryte was an on-demand platform combining food delivery and ride-hailing services, similar to Uber Eats but built for the Honduran market. The original app had accumulated significant technical debt, so I led a full rebuild from the ground up in Swift 5 with SwiftUI, rewriting the entire codebase with a cleaner architecture and a completely redesigned user experience.
The app featured real-time map tracking powered by Mapbox, order management, and ride requests, all rebuilt with performance and reliability as the primary goals. The result was a 90% reduction in client-reported bugs and a 40% improvement in application performance. Although the startup did not continue operating, the rebuild was a significant technical challenge that sharpened my instinct for balancing speed of delivery with code quality under real product pressure.
